The World Cup Graphic History Project transforms every tournament into a minimalist work of art. Built from an exhaustive historical database of every match, every national team, and every championship path, each poster reveals how a World Cup unfolded - from the opening fixtures to the final lift of the trophy. Inspired by information design and modern gallery aesthetics, these radial bracket diagrams invite fans to trace the journey of champions while discovering the stories hidden within every tournament.
This is more than a poster. It is a visual archive of football’s greatest competition, designed to be studied, displayed, and explored for generations.

Hosted entirely in Montevideo, Uruguay, the inaugural 1930 World Cup featured thirteen invited teams with no qualification matches. Due to a grueling ocean journey, only four European nations participated. Driven by a fierce South American rivalry, hosts Uruguay defeated Argentina 4-2 in the final to become soccer's first official world champions.
